steph.vs.evil.

Here's the deal. Evil's wii fit told him he needed to lose 17.5 pounds to be considered "normal." That's about what i want to lose, so i challenged him to see who could do it first. If you're interested in the comment chain that led us to this decision, check it out here. If he wins, i have to do five date-or-die entries (examples here) and if i win...well, it's the same for now. My creative genius is currently taxed, and due to the weekend, no one who knows him well was available (or interested) in giving me an idea. Since the challenge starts today, he can opt out of any losing consequence and fall back on the date-or-die, but i'm still hoping to come up with something good. Post ideas below. We came up with a small list of rules, and they're as follows:
  1. daily weight checks at the same time of day each on our own digital scale with precision to the half pound.
  2. we'll both add a sidebar to our blogs and update (at least every two to three days) how much we've currently lost.
  3. winner is the person who loses and maintains (for seven days) 17.5 pounds or more first.
  4. maximum time frame is three months. If no one's lost 17.5 pounds by then, the person who's lost the most will be declared the winner.
  5. upon completion of challenge, the loser has four months to complete their task.
  6. challenge starts at 12am on monday june 23rd, and ends at 11:59pm on tuesday september 23rd.

I can tell you there's no way i'm writing date-or-die entries, which means no laziness for me. Evil's going down!!!!

how come there's "no way" you're writing date or die entries? what is the reason?

dude, i can lose weight just by thinking about it. this contest will be a piece of cake. and mind you, this week is crazy because weds, thurs, fri, and saturday are all going out days. i might pack on 5 pounds this week. but then after that i will be serious. figured i'd give you a bit of a head start.

I totally think Steph is going to win, but come on guys, make this interesting!

I say the loser has to take ME on a date! That goes for BOTH OF YOU! And not a cheap date. I'm all class.

hey and- i would not want to do that just because someone who takes you on a date is not a "loser."

oh and i should clarify... should steph lose, she needs to go on 5 dates with GUYS. not any of these chick-on-chick dates. not that there is anything wrong with that, but i dont think steph is into girls in a romantic way. (correct me if i'm wrong!)

And said...

Okay! So the winner gets to take me on a date! Woohoo! I like Lambrusco and daisies.

The reason is because i'm going to win. Plus, if i ever go on another date, i don't necessarily want to keep a log of it. Quite frankly, even if i don't beat you but make it to the 17.5 lbs, i'll be quite happy. That would still be okay even with my competitive spirit.

what do you mean by "if i ever go on another date"... there a possibility that you may never go on another date in your life??!!

I didn't do so well on the healthy eating front today either. Not bad, but not great.
Hopefully there's not that possibility, but you never know. I think i need to drastically alter my eligibility criteria.

Evil said...

what "eligibility criteria" are you talking about? what are examples?

I'm picky evil. Picky. I couldn't write everything down here because most of it is just an overall impression, but it has to do with humor, job (ie- no guys living in their mom's basement (unless i really get desperate)), and general life expectations that line up with mine.

that topic would make a good post! you should write it all down.
