I am finally setting up my very own blog. Who knew...just a few years ago the term "blog" meant nothing to me. While I knew it had to do with internet postings, I figured it was only for those computer savvy people out there. Fast forward to present time, and you find me addicted to no less than five blogs which I read religiously and cry when they're not updated regularly.

dinner.party
Last night was my dinner party. It was great. There were twelve people which made for a good crowd, but didn't overload the table. I kept the menu low-key since I'm no chef, and cooking for twelve people isn't my idea of a blast. For desert I made an icebox cake. My parents used to make this, but I hadn't had it in a while, so when I was trying to come up with an easy but nice looking dessert, this popped to mind. It consists of chocolate wafer cookies and whipped cream which you make into a log shaped sandwich. After sitting in the fridge for a while, the cookies absorb the moisture from the cream, so when you cut it at an angle, it's nice and soft. Delicious.
