pet.peeve

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people talk about their parents to others, and refer to them as "Mom" and "Dad". Hey...they're not my parents, they're yours. Unless you're talking to one of your siblings, say "my Mom" or "my Dad". No wife would ever refer to her husband as "husband" to another women (unless she was on the show Big Love), she'd say "my husband". So...I was watching Honey We're Killing the Kids the other night, and the nutritionist, Dr. Lisa, refers to the parents on the show as Mom and Dad. This is even worse. They're definitely not her parents. For the love of Pete....just say "your Mom and Dad". Really..how hard is that?
